A beautiful & budget-friendly resort built in a mango orchard, situated around 63 km from Bangalore. Amenities like a swimming pool, rope course, rain dance and barbeque make Escape Valley a perfect getaway for large groups seeking adventure and fun without burning a hole in the pocket.
The long weekend (EID holiday) in July was approaching, and we wanted a short break. We wanted to go somewhere to relax without having to plan much. We decided to explore Escape Valley, the newest budget-friendly adventure resort in Kanakpura. We spent two days here and enjoyed ourselves very much.
In this article, I am sharing my honest review and our overall experience at the resort.

A weekend at Escape Valley, Kanakpura
We started from our home at 10 a.m. It took us 2 hours to reach the resort. The moment we entered the resort a beautiful stretch of mango orchard spread across a large area welcomed us. Beautiful cottages lined the path, at the very end of it was the main building. On oneside was a swimming pool and rope course in an open area.
The open space and greenery felt refreshing. The main building of the resort is built in the traditional South Indian style showcasing a beautiful open courtyard in the center. A Nandi idol adorns the front area of the courtyard.
An intricate wooden swing and traditional wooden furniture added to the homely vibes.

Rooms: basic yet hygienic rooms
We stayed in one of the rooms in the main building. There were four rooms surrounding the open courtyard and a common sit-out. Our room was spacious with 2 double beds in it. It was a basic room without any frills, more like a homestay. However, the room was clean and hygienic. It could accommodate 4 adults easily.

Food: Delicious homemade food
Since the resort is located at a secluded place on the outskirts of Bangalore, we did not see any restaurants around. However, all the meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and evening snacks are included in the package. We were served with buffet meal and breakfast. The meal was simple, homemade yet delicious. The variety was also satisfactory.

Amenities
Swimming Pool: The resort has a swimming pool. We enjoyed our time in the pool. There was a kid’s pool also where our children loved spending most of their time.

Kids Park: There is a small park surrounded by mango trees which has a lot of swings for children to play. There is a grass lawn also where you can sit and spend time.

Indoor games: The resort also has an indoor play area where one can enjoy indoor games like pool, foosball, table tennis, chess etc. The play area is set up in a large hall and has enough space to accommodate 10-15 people easily.

Rope course: There is a 360-degree rope course to satisfy your adventure cravings. Although we dint get time to try it.
Paintball & mud volleyball: We also saw boards for paintball and a field for mud volleyball.
Rain dance: There is a provision for rain dance also for group parties and events.

Bonfire & Barbeque: There is a separate area designated for bonfires where you can enjoy the barbecue under the stars. They also arrange speakers and a music system. We loved the bonfire and barbecue experience. It was a beautiful star-studded night where we grooved to our favourite songs while enjoying the delicious starters.

Outdoor Activities that you can enjoy at Escape Valley
Apart from the group activities mentioned above, one can enjoy other outdoor activities here.
1. Trekking: The resort organizes trekking to the nearby mountain. It’s a 6 km trek. The resort guide suggested to start at 6 a.m., so we could be back before it gets too sunny. We had to drop the activity as we could not wake up on time.
2. Explore the nearby water reservoir: Just walking distance from the resort is a water reservoir. We went for a walk to explore this beautiful and secluded place.
3. Kayaking: Although they mentioned Kayaking on their website, but its not started yet.

Pricing
The Pricing per person starts from INR 2500 including a day’s stay, all meals and activities. Please check the latest pricing and inclusions in the link below or by directly approaching the resort.
Important note: At the time we visited the resort, WIFI was not available. We were told they will install the WIFI soon.

Overall Experience
To summarize, we enjoyed our stay at the Escape Valley resort. The day we visited the resort, there were very few guests, and we had the whole resort to ourselves. The place was peaceful and serene. It was a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway for us.
This place does not offer a luxurious stay but a lot of fun activities and a decent stay experience at an economical price to make your getaway a memorable one especially when you are planning an outing or celebration for a big group.
