I’ve always been a tropical destination person! Beaches, warm sunsets, flowing dresses, and days filled with sunshine; that’s my happy place.

But witnessing European Christmas, experiencing the festive vibes, exploring Christmas markets and playing in the snow has been on my bucket list forever. I always wanted to explore winter destinations but the thought of stepping out in extreme cold made me postpone my plans every time.

One thing winter travel teaches you is the importance of layering. Not bulky layers, but smart ones.

Here’s the simple rule I now swear by:

1. Base Layer – Your Real Protection

This is the layer that stays closest to your skin. It needs to keep you warm without making you sweaty.

This is where thermal wear becomes non-negotiable. A good thermal traps body heat and regulates temperature – especially when you’re outdoors for long hours.

2. Insulating Layer – Warmth Without Weight
