If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that you don’t always have to travel very far from the city for a relaxing break. Sometimes, the best getaways are right in your backyard. Recently, I discovered one such hidden gem: Fantasy Golf Resort, a peaceful property located just 10 minutes from Kempegowda International Airport and just 30 mins from the city. If you are looking for a family-friendly staycation near Bangalore or a perfect resort for team outings, Fantasy Golf Resort is the perfect place. By the way, it has a fun mini golf, which I haven’t seen in any other resort.

In this blog, I am sharing an honest review of our stay experience at Fantasy Golf Resort.
Fantasy Golf Resort – A beautiful resort exuding the Old Bangalore charm & the only resort with a Mini golf
The idea of having mini golf at the resort sounded fun, so I decided to visit. But as soon as we entered the resort, I realised it’s much more than just mini golf. A lush green lawn surrounded by tall coconut trees, an inviting swimming pool, a hammock in the front of the room, ample open spaces and an array of outdoor and indoor games. It was love at first sight.

The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, and what stood out to me right away was how airy and relaxed everything felt — simple yet inviting.
Location: A Beautiful staycation very close to Bangalore International Airport
The resort is situated on Shettigere Road, Sadahalli Junction, just 10 minutes from Bangalore International Airport and around an hour from the city, making it a convenient option for both relaxing getaway seekers within the city, as well as those travelling to Bangalore.
The Stay: Premium rooms to Private villas
Fantasy Golf Resort offers multiple stay options — from cozy rooms to spacious cottages, all designed for comfort and ease. The rooms are well-lit, clean, spacious and functional, with all the essentials you’d need for a short or long stay. They offer amenities like tea, coffee maker, mini fridge, cupboard, toiletries and fresh towels.
The room categories include Deluxe rooms, premium A/c rooms, cottages and even villas with 2 and 4 bedrooms. Some of these rooms are pet-friendly too (Although you need to inform the property in advance to check the availability, if you are planning to travel with your pet)
What I particularly liked was the sense of openness. Most rooms open up to green views, and there’s plenty of space to walk around, sip your morning coffee, or simply enjoy the quiet.

Food & Dining experience at Fantasy Golf Resort

A big part of any good stay is the food, and Fantasy Golf Resort doesn’t disappoint. Their in-house restaurant serve a mix of Indian and continental dishes — both buffet and à la carte options available.
During our stay, we enjoyed homely, well-prepared meals with a variety of dishes to choose from. The outdoor dining area surrounded by greenery adds to the experience — especially in the evenings. They also organise BBQ nights or private setups on request, which is perfect if you’re celebrating something special.

One of the reasons Fantasy Golf Resort stands out is its versatility. It’s not just a weekend retreat — it’s also an ideal venue for weddings, corporate retreats, and private celebrations like anniversaries, birthday parties etc.
They also have Day packages from 9am to 9pm for corporate team outings.
Pricing
The rooms are fairly priced, ranging from INR 5500+GST to INR 8500+GST, whereas Villas are priced from INR 14900+ GST (For 4 pax) to INR 26900+ GST (for 8 pax max).
No additional charges for Children up to 5 years.

Final Thoughts
What I loved most about Fantasy Golf Resort is how it balances accessibility and tranquillity. It’s so close to the city, yet once you’re there, it feels like you’ve truly escaped into nature. We loved bonding together as a family and spending time with each other without any distractions, be it while trying our hands at the mini golf, playing football, chilling at the hammock and just walking around. Fantasy Golf Resort offered a much-needed escape from the usual hectic schedule.
If you’re planning a quick weekend break, a fun day outing, or even a special celebration, this place fits every mood. For me, it was a refreshing reminder that sometimes, the best getaways are the ones that let you slow down, breathe easy, and reconnect — with nature and yourself.
