Recently we visited Suggee Resort for a staycation. It was a day full of adventure and fun. In this blog, I am sharing the details of the activities available and our experience at the resort.

How to reach Suggee Resort: Just 30 km from Bangalore
Suggee Resort is just one and a half hours from the city. We started early in the morning to make the most of the day. With a clear location on Google Maps, we did not face any difficulty in reaching the resort.

Apart from the adventure activities and other games, some things that make Suggee Resort special and worth visiting again and again are
1. Nature & Greenery
The property is surrounded by lush greenery. The cottages are nestled in a beautiful mango orchard. This time of the year you can see hundreds of trees laden with mangoes. There are colorful flowering plants all around. A morning walk around the resort was a refreshing experience.
2. An Aviary
The most unique experience of all was spending time in the Aviary. The resort boasts of one of the largest aviaries in Bangalore housing many exotic species of birds like Parakeet, Macaw, cockatoos, etc. In addition to birds, we also pet an iguana and many cute dogs. This aviary is a perfect place to bond with these beautiful creatures, especially if you are visiting the resort with young kids.
There is an additional charge of INR 150 per person that you need to pay to visit the aviary.
3. Pets & birds
We could also spot many cats and ducks roaming freely in the resort.
4. Horse Stable
There is a horse stable also in the resort which has 3 horses and 1 pony. They offer horse cart rides to the guests.

Rooms
Apart from day packages, the resort offers staycation packages too. They have 7 room categories from cottages to tents to suit everyone’s requirements.
The room we stayed in was on the 1st floor, overlooking the lush green Mango orchard. It was a pleasant sight specially during the mornings with all the greenery & melodies of birds chirping. Our room was well lit & airy, but what made it unique was the presence of colourful birds in our balcony. It was fun watching these lovely birds playing with each other and busy in their daily activities. My son loved spending time at the balcony observing these beautiful birds. If you are travelling with young kids, opt for this category of room.
The room offered basic amenities like bottled water, tea coffee maker, fresh towels , toiletries and landline to contact the hotel staff.
Our stay experience at the resort
First Impressions
It was love at first sight! There was greenery all around with beautiful canopies of bougainvillea making the place look all the more dreamy. Upon reaching the resort, we were greeted with welcome drinks. At the counter, they offered many refreshing welcome drinks to choose from. We chose the sugarcane juice and lemonade which was the perfect thirst quencher for the sunny day. The resort boasts of the vast expense of sprawling land, dotted with trees, cottages, activity zones, and wide open spaces.

Lunch & Adventure Activities
After checking into our room, which was well lit up and airy, we headed straight to the lunch area where the sumptuous spread of buffet lunch was served which consisted of both veg & non-veg dishes. During the dinner, they also had live counter offering dishes like tawa pulav, fish fry etc.
After lunch, it was time for the action to begin! The resort offers a wide range of adventure sports and fun activities for all age groups.
Aviary visit: From being scared to petting like a pro
We decided to visit the Aviary first as it closes at 5 pm. With colorful parakeets, Macaws, and other exotic birds, the aviary was buzzing with chirping sounds. There were cute dogs -the toy poms and chihuahua and 2 iguanas. At first, we were scared to get close to the birds or even the dogs. But thanks to Jeevan and Amisha the in charge of the Aviary, who made us comfortable by explaining the bird’s habitat, their habitat, and more information.
My son who is scared of Dogs, enjoyed playing with them and even made friends with Milo, the cute toy pom dog. We loved this part of our stay at the resort so much that we visited the aviary again on the second day. And we comfortably made macaws sit in our arms, even pet the iguana. Before visiting the aviary I could have never imagined myself going close to the one, let alone touching and petting one.
Other activities that we enjoyed at Suggee Resort are :
ATV Ride: This was the first time we tried the ATV & it was so much fun. For 2 rounds of ATV Ride, you need to pay an additional charge of INR 150 per person. But it’s worth the money.
Zip Lining: Zipping over the treetops with the wind in the hair was super exciting!
We also enjoyed Commando Net, tire climbing & kids’ boating
Time to cool off
After trying our hands-on adventure activities, it was time to cool off with a dip in the resort’s well-maintained swimming pool. Right next to the pool was the rain dance area where they played music with rain showers. It was fun to dance to the beats while enjoying the rain.
As the sun set down, we were served tea and snacks. The evening breeze made it the perfect time to reflect on a day well spent.
