The only view in front of you is that of tall trees, layers and layers of coffee plantations and scenic mountains. Sounds like the ultimate definition of peaceful staycations, the kind that instantly relaxes you and puts your mind off any unwanted thoughts.

A Luxury villa hidden inside a Coffee Estate – Location
Set amidst a coffee plantation near Somwarpet, Stava is around 5 hours from Bangalore. The villa is spread across three levels with four spacious bedrooms — ideal for a family getaway or a group of close friends looking for exclusivity.
What I loved most?
It’s completely secluded, peaceful and undisturbed. Away from all the noise !Yet completely safe.

How to reach Stava Estate
We drove in our car from Bangalore to Somwarpet (Coorg), it took us around 5-6 hours, including the breaks. The roads were good and smooth throughout, except for the last few metres where it was muddy and uneven, but overall our journey was fairly comfortable. The Villa staff directed us on the directions as the Google map took us only to the nearby spot and not to the villa. Stava Estate villa is situated in the middle of the coffee plantation, so you have to drive through the coffee plantation to reach the villa

Our experience of staying at Stava Estate, Coorg
I visited Stava Estate with my parents and son. We stayed there for one night and two days. We loved the place, our stay experience and the whole vibe. Here is a little bit about our experience at the property
Mornings That Feel Straight Out of a Dream
If you ask me, my favourite part is the mornings.
Sunlight slowly spilling into the room. Birds replacing alarm tones. Stepping outside with a cup of coffee and breathing in that cool breeze.
And then there’s the infinity pool.
Overlooking layers of green, the pool became our family’s hangout. We enjoyed slow swims, lounging on the deck, and conversations, simply soaking in the view.

Evenings, Bonfires & Unfiltered Conversations
As the sun sets, the estate turns magical.
The air grows cooler. The sky softens into pastel hues. The silence becomes cinematic.
Evenings are best spent outdoors—around a bonfire, with chai, sharing stories and laughter. Nature makes conversations deeper
and more meaningful.

Food, Hospitality & Practical Notes
Home-style meals add to the warmth of the experience. When you’re in Coorg, local flavours — especially Kodava dishes — feel comforting, simple and soulful.
The hospitality feels personal and attentive without being intrusive, which I truly appreciate in a villa stay.

Practical tip
The property is slightly tucked inside Somwarpet, and the approach roads are a little muddy for a short stretch.
Also, if you have specific food preferences, it’s best to check in advance about menu options.
Do carry your swimsuit, walking shoes and a warm jacket for evenings
More Than Just a Stay — Things to do around Stava Estate

Final Thoughts
I’ve experienced Coorg in many ways before — sightseeing, road trips, packed schedules.
But this trip reminded me that sometimes, the best way to experience a place is to simply stay still in it. And here, surrounded by forest, family and quiet luxury, that stillness felt just right. And honestly, that’s what a great staycation should feel like.
If your idea of a holiday includes misty mornings, green views in every direction, poolside sunsets and meaningful conversations — this is exactly that kind of escape.
